In this series I explore new ways in which images are captured and how they are perceived. These large scale panoramas are shot with an iPhone camera while riding the transit train systems in Chicago and San Francisco. As a passenger I am interested in capturing the diverse and fleeting/fractured scenes often found while riding public transportation. From afar these scenes appear idyllic, but when examined closer much more is revealed.
I view this series of images as a collaboration with the rapidly evolving technology we use every day. I play off the flaws of this technology and seek to raise questions of what is real and what has been distorted by it.
